I’m Cari Tiller.

My happy place is transforming your landscape into a thriving garden retreat to bring you joy and delight daily! Not only should your outdoor space look attractive and provide interest year round, but it should be easy to maintain and grow more beautiful over time.

my passion

Everyone deserves green space that offers peace and tranquility to escape to when the daily stresses become too much.

My passion is connecting you to nature and the outdoors by making the most of your outdoor space using native plants that thrive in our local environment. Your outdoor living space is an extension of your home and personality. And since everyone has been spending a lot more time at home over the past year due to the pandemic, backyard space is essential. I purposefully combine art, gardening and the outdoors into an attractive retreat that is meaningful to you.

“There are three responses to a piece of design—yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for!” — Milton Glaser

Let’s make your “outdoor rooms” beautiful year round, while also being practical and useful. Just imagine walking into your backyard space to discover a haven and the freedom to connect with your loved ones in nature.

DELIGHT IN THE TRANSFORMATION.

native & sustainable gardens

My focus is creating landscapes with native and adapted plants and organic gardening methods. Your landscape will be low maintenance and use the least amount of resources (water, fertilizer, your time) while supporting and attracting bees, butterflies and wildlife (lizards, beneficial insects, birds).

Creating a landscape that promotes biodiversity allows it to thrive and take care of itself with little concern for issues or pests.

Sustainability means gardening in a smart and eco-friendly way.  It is all about giving back to mother nature.  Examples of sustainability: garden design – “right plant in the right place,” composting, mulching, conserving water, soil preparation, rainwater harvesting, saving seeds, planting trees, reduce the use of plastics, no chemicals, etc.

Sustainability is a lifestyle.  It is a way of life.

We can all do our part to positively impact our world!

landscape design

trans·for·ma·tion - a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance

I am obsessed with butterflies and caterpillars. I am always in awe of how God can take a crazy looking caterpillar that creates a chrysalis and transforms into an amazing and stunning creature - a butterfly.

My landscape design service is a similar transformation process. I can take something that may not look very pretty or interesting (like an old and tired yard) and transform it into a beautiful and interesting living space that you want to spend every waking moment exploring and enjoying!

"Never lose hope...the butterfly is proof that beauty can emerge from something completely falling apart."

- Jane Lee Logan
